Hi, I’m Thea and I have an invitation for you.
 
I’ve created a community of mothers who want to live their daily lives with more compassion, presence, joy, meaning and connection.  Women who want to let go of striving, control-freakery and perfectionism, and access their calm, confident and loving selves instead.
 
Modern life encourages us to live in our heads, to mindlessly pursue what we are told we should want, to strive and push for achievement, rather than reflect, look inwards and follow our own inner guidance. We are taught to listen to our rational minds rather than our hearts.  
 
Except our minds are hardly the model of rationality. Our thoughts are curated by judgements, comparison, lack, fear, emotions, moods and habit. Our hearts - we are told - are not to be trusted. We learn that they are too soft for real life, and so we hide them away.  But secretly we wonder why life often feels empty, unfulfilling and lonely.

Heartspace is about understanding and dismantling the protective armour that we've had to build up around us to survive, and learn to express more of our true selves.  You’ll learn to manage your mind more effectively, become more emotionally resilient and use your inner wisdom as your daily guide.

Within Heartspace we will do this in three ways:
 
  • Learning and practicing foundational emotional resilience habits.
  • Understanding & managing our different inner selves - the conflicting voices in our heads.
  • Belonging to a supportive and inspiring community of other mothers on the same journey towards peace, fulfilment and a wholehearted life.
  • Being coached by me within the FB group, on our Coaching & Connection calls and 1-1 with me if you add coaching to your membership.

Practically speaking it would look like this each month:

 
  • Week 1: New Resilience Habit Training
    I’ll share a video teaching a new practice from one of the following pillars of resilience:
    • Generating Gratitude & Joy
    • Cultivating Presence
    • Nurturing Self-Compassion
    • Living a Meaningful Life
    • Creating Connection & Community  
This will be approximately 20 minutes long. I will share this in a dedicated Facebook group and in a separate members area where you can find everything in one place, and email a reminder to you. 
 
  • Week 2: Coaching & Connection Call.
    On the second Tuesday of each month we’ll have a live Zoom Call to share your progress, your wins and challenges around this month's Resilience Habit. This will be where you can connect, support each other and get coaching from me. This will usually be on the 2nd Tuesday each month, at 10-11.30am.
 
  • Week 3: New Balancing Your Selves Training
    I’ll share a video discussing a common Primary Self and sometimes it’s Opposite/Disowned Self. You'll learn how they might be impacting you and how to manage them.  

 

  • Week 4: Coaching & Connection Call.
    On the fourth Wednesday of each month we’ll have a live Zoom Call to share your progress, your wins and challenges around this month's Resilience Habit and Primary/Disowned Selves. This will be where you can connect, support each other and get coaching from me. This will usually be on the 4th Wednesday each month at 12-1.30pm. 
 
  • Each week, I’ll gently nudge and inspire you within the Heartspace Facebook group so we keep connected and continue to make the incremental steps towards embedding and mastering these powerful habits of thinking, managing your inner selves, and living from your heart. 
 
This programme is designed to be easy to integrate into daily life, without having to allocate hours each week to acquiring knowledge. I aim to provide simple ideas and perspectives which you can practically apply into your daily life. Connection and accountability will be there NOT to add pressure or judgement but as compassionate, encouraging inspiration to keep practicing and embedding these lifelong habits.

More about Thea

 

Thea is a perfectionism expert and resilience coach. She knows what is going on in the minds of perfectionist mothers and how to get them unstuck. 

She is a pioneer in her approach to busting the myths of perfectionism, transforming women’s fulfilment at work and happiness at home. Her unique coaching style combines a deep non-judgemental compassion with powerful insights and frank conversations about how to take action and make lasting changes.

Previously working as a business researcher in the City, she retrained in 2006 as a coach. As well as her private coaching practice, she is a Senior Associate Coach with One of many, an international women’s leadership coaching company. 

Her coaching and courses provide the space for her clients to let go of the self-talk and self-identities that hold them back and step into their courageous, aligned and authentic selves.   Using practical tools and processes she helps her clients know and trust themselves again.

She is a trained Voice Dialogue Facilitator, a Certified iheart Facilitator and has completed courses in Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is accredited by the International Coaching Federation, has a BA (Hons) in History & Sociology from Warwick University, and an MSc in Information Science from City University.  She lives in Sussex, England, with her husband, Chris, their three teenage children, and Pumpkin the cat.
